Athirappilly Waterfalls


This place is located in Thrissur District, Kerala. Located 60 Kms away from Thrissurr City.

Situated above 1000ft sea level on the Chalakudy river, Athirappalli is a scenic combination of forests and little streams.

This is one of the largest waterfalls in the states as it falls from a height if 80 feets.

St. Francis Church, Kochi

Originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India.

The Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama died in Kochi in 1524 when he was on his third visit to India. His body was originally buried in this church, but after fourteen years his remains were removed to Lisbon.

Poovar Island

Poovar is a tourist town in the Trivandrum district of Kerala state, South India. This village is almost at the southern tip of Trivandrum while the next village, Pozhiyoor, marks the end of Kerala. This village beach attracts tourists.

Golden beach as they call is wonderful sight to visit, and the way to the island is equally unique experience. Boat goes thru narrow canal surrounded by thick trees and almost covers your way forward….must visit if in Trivandrum.

Poovar Island is as pretty as Kovalam and less crowded; the backwaters are as good as at Kumarakum; the placid river running alongside the rough sea is a study in contrast. lot of migratory birds to be seen if you take an early morning boat ride into the mangrove area.

Thiruvananthapuram Zoo

Located in the Capital of Kerala, the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo occupies 55 acres of woodland, lakes, and lawns. It is the oldest zoo in India and Asia.

The Thiruvananthapuram Zoo is home to 82 species from around the world.

Indigenous species at the zoo include  Indian rhinoceros,  white tiger and so on.
